Microsoft offers Windows Server 2008 remote management tools
The updated version of what used to be called ADMINPAK.MSI is ready for download.
Microsoft has made available an updated version of its remote management tools that allow for
the management of Windows Server 2008 from a desktop running Vista Service Pack 1.
Remote Server Administration Tools, once called ADMINPAK.MSI, have an updated Group Policy
Management Console, which adds functions such as search, filter, commenting and Group Policy
Preferences, Microsoft said. The console had been removed from Windows Vista SP1. Now it is
available as a separate download.
