Telstra yesterday began distributing the BlackBerry Bold smartphone, to run on its Next G network.
According to David Thodey, group managing director of Telstra Enterprise & Government, the telco expects a high demand from customers.
“There has been tremendous interest for the BlackBerry Bold smartphone,” he said.
Telstra is positioning the device as both an enterprise productivity tool and a personal phone.
Telstra is using the Bold to tout the Next G network. Group managing director of Telstra Business, Deena Shiff, said: “Customers will be able to enjoy fast access to email and calendar, fast download of attachments which can be easily read on the high-resolution screen and fast access to the internet in more places across Australia on the Next G network.
The Bold has an RRP of $999 and is available on various plans.
